Steve and Helly’s AZAB Race 2019

Stephen first competed in AZAB in 1987 in Quilla, a Starlight half Tonner. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would have loved to have done it again but work and life restricted me to short offshore and regatta racing and two weeks summer cruising ! Now I finally can make the time. Helena (my wife) and I competed in the Yachting Monthly Channel Triangle in 2018 as part of our preparation and thoroughly enjoyed it. So here’s looking forward to AZAB 32 years after my first attempt.

Lovely walk along the coast path to Fowey day mark. Off to Mylor today haven’t been back since training there prior to 2012 Games.

Couple of stunning days in Salcombe!Moored off the Ferry Inn so Steve can enjoy a pint whilst admiring Shuna!😁 Salcombe so much quieter and peaceful out of season.

The adventure has started😁 Slowly cruising our way down to Falmouth ready for the start of AZAB. Testing kit and making sure everything works and enjoying some beautiful places.
